Make your own embellishments

Back from the Scrappin Patch retreat, it was great to catch up with everyone, and once again it was a fabulous weekend away.  Didn't actually get that much scrapping done, managed to finish my SMASH Album (Trina's Class) and then did two Exploding Boxes (Megan's class).  A great weekend away though.....

This fortnight's challenge over at Challenge Me Happy is to create your own embellishments, something I have been doing alot of lately.... so it suited me perfectly.

I have used the My Minds Eye Bright Side range of papers for this layout, absolutely love the Orange, Teal and white together - they complement each other so well.  I bought the whole kit as it was alot better value for money, and of course everything matches....

For my handmade embellishments, I made my own banner and looped it through with some black / white twine and in-between to give a little dimension - added some random buttons.

My second handmade embellishment, I have used some Packaging from Pink Paislee London Market Jumbo Numbers - oooh la la they are gorgeous - anyway I cut around the back of the packaging and popped it up with some foam tape, and popped a handmade banner underneath it....

Here are a couple of other layouts using the same range of papers, and I still have 3 full sheets of PP left.....what a bargin for $21.00 for the kit over at Scrappin Patch.  You get  9 patterned papers - one of each design, and one 12 x 12" sheet of diecuts.

Here is a little close up - including some WASHI tape on this one layout,

and this one includes a October Afternoon Tin Pin.... love those toooo

Absolutely loving this range, I bought the blue / red one as well, sooo still have lots of scrapping to get done.
