Scrapfriends Sketch Challenge # 22

OOOHH just loved this sketch from Scrapfriends and I had the perfect photo for it.

Here is my take on the sketch, I decided on different shades of green and grey.  I got my sewing machine out and did some stitching on the top and bottom edges, and of course I couldn't resist and to get my water colours out.

Added some muslin underneath the coloured hearts to give it a little texture.

Scrapfriends Colour Challenge # 21

OHHHH loving the colour palette over at Scrapfriends, so I just couldn't resist to get my water colours out.

Here is the palette... I have used the Pinks and Yellows together.

 

My first thought was to get my Studio Calico Printshop range out, and then added some pink water colours and yellow Gelatos

 

I added some texture paste using my Prima Stencil, to give it a little more texture.  Loving this style at the moment, here are a couple of close ups on the texture paste

Guest designer spot - Yummy Scrap #15....

I am so thrilled to be a guest designer over at Scrappy Friends, this fortnight's challenge is a soft palette of blues and pinks....

So here is the palette

and here is my take on the challenge... I just love using Washi Tape for my background, I love the pink flowery one (as you will see it alot in my layouts :) )... I have also used my cameo and cut some Daisy flowers out and have popped them up with foam dots.  Emma loved the flowers so much so I thought I would use them on this page, as it's a very pretty palette.

Scrapfriends Sketch Challenge

Oh my goodness, when I saw the new sketch over at Scrapfriends, I just knew I had to use it, and this layout came together so quickly. I just love working with circles,  and this sketch allows you to use up some of those photo's which aren't quite so fantastic because you can cut them smaller.

Here is my take on the sketch,

I used my new Silhoutte Cameo which I got from Adrienne at Scrappin Patch which came in less than a week.... WOHOO...... I was struggling to get the circles drawn on the Silhoutte, so I purchased the Circle Frames from their on-line store and the layout just came together so quickly.

I knew I wanted to continue with the Pink themes, so I used a variety of washi tapes and some strips from the brand new Echo Park Here and Now Range,  absolutely thrilled with the end result.  I also used from washi tape on the little plain pegs which I bought at the $2 shop to blend in with the colours of the papers.

YUMMYScrap # 13 - Colour Palette Challenge

Today is such a beautiful day here in Christchurch, although they are forecasting a Polar Blast next week, so not really looking forward to that...

Did a little scrapping last weekend, and decided to enter the YummyScrap Colour Palette Challenge, love those colours together,

 

I have used Crate paper as my base page, love the way the colours go from soft to dark pink, and I have combined this with some Glitz Design Unchartered Waters range.

 

I have done lots of stitching on this page, although you probably can't see it, a little washi tape, and some splatters and all done, and some close ups...

Scrapping Catch Up

WOW it's been a while since my post, I am back at work now and don't have as much time as I would like to scrapbook.  So have quite a few layouts to share.....

Firstly, Challenge Me Happy FaceBook page were running a National Scrapbook Day competition and here are the three layouts I did.

Challenge # 1 - create a blue tonned layout...I used some scraps to create this layout of hubby & I together with different washi tapes (Loving the washi tapes at the moment, especially that thick grey chevron one from SC)

 

Challenge # 2 - Create a layout using the word LIFE on it.... now this I had lots of fun with - I used my water colours over the embossed words LIFE, 

 I also made my own little circle banner, and finished it off with some sequence

Challenge # 3 - inspiration challenge

 

The next challenge is for the ScrapFriends Sketch challenge this month - here is the sketch

and here is my layout, again using lots of Washi Tape

Last challenge was a weekly challenge over at Studio Calico... using pastel shades...
