Scrapping Catch Up

WOW it's been a while since my post, I am back at work now and don't have as much time as I would like to scrapbook.  So have quite a few layouts to share.....

Firstly, Challenge Me Happy FaceBook page were running a National Scrapbook Day competition and here are the three layouts I did.

Challenge # 1 - create a blue tonned layout...I used some scraps to create this layout of hubby & I together with different washi tapes (Loving the washi tapes at the moment, especially that thick grey chevron one from SC)

Challenge # 2 - Create a layout using the word LIFE on it.... now this I had lots of fun with - I used my water colours over the embossed words LIFE,

I also made my own little circle banner, and finished it off with some sequence

Challenge # 3 - inspiration challenge

The next challenge is for the ScrapFriends Sketch challenge this month - here is the sketch

and here is my layout, again using lots of Washi Tape

Last challenge was a weekly challenge over at Studio Calico... using pastel shades...

and a couple of close ups

so that's all for now.....

Case File # 68

Hi Again, wow I haven't posted this much in a long time, but I have my mojo back, and it feels great.  So I decided to turn to Case File # 68 over at Colour Stories Investigations .  Here is the challenge.

My layout is about my sister and I, when we went out for a dinner at a Thai place in Akaroa, Everyone was taking photo's so we decided to pull some crazy faces.

My Clues are circles, triangles, crown, and pen work.
Evidence - Scallops around my journalling spot.

Here are a couple of close ups

I created my own mask and strayed some yellow Misty Hueys on the page together with some October Afternoon Rocket Blue, which created my circles together with some enamel dots of the same colours.

Kraft It Up Challenge

So whilst sitting next to Michelle W at the Retreat - she completed a lovely layout for the Kraft It Up April Challenge where you had to use packaging on your layout.  So I decided to give this a go this month, and i am totally wrapped with the way the layout came together.

I have used a little texture paste together with a SC Mask as my start, and then used packaging from Dear Lizzy Tags as well as some packaging from the Wooden Veneers from SC.  The papers are from the Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic Range, as well as some of the chipboard.  I have created a little banners underneath and adding some stitching as well.

A couple of close ups....Michelle you will be proud of me, I arranged everything on the page and then added some glue here and there to stick it down, without trying to move anything....Love the texture it gives you.

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping

My Minds Eye - Collectable Range

Today is a sad day for me, it's my last official post as a Design Team Member at Scrappin Patch,  It's been an awesome 5 years since starting with The Patch as a Guest Designer back in 2009, it's been truly wonderful being part of a very talented team of ladies and of course promoting The Patch, So thank you Adrienne for giving me this wonderful opportunity to be part of The patch and thank you to all the ladies on the team, it's been an awesome journey.

Enough said now, lets move on to the newest products in the shop.  I stopped by the shop on Friday during their closing down sale and picked up some bargins.  Adrienne said to me do you want to have a look at the new My Minds Eye - I had seen it on-line and said... hmm not really nothing really grabbed me, but once I had seen it in real life, WOW it's truely gorgeous.  Again the papers are a great thick quality and double sided with lovely rich colours.

One of my newest favorites at the moment, is this gorgeous BLACK  DAMASK WASHI TAPE, it's just FABBO, and I have used it to frame the photo as well.

My other favorite at the moment is the background stamp from Dark Room Doors, just gorgeous as it gives it a little grungy feel to the layout.

Papers used in this layout, Cute Paper Petite, Authentic Paper Original,  Beautiful Paper - Delightful,

If you haven't picked up any of these papers and love the colour combo, you won't be disappointed,

TFL and Happy scrapping everyone
